Starting January 26, China's railway authorities will implement the first-quarter train schedule for 2026. Under the new timetable, Xiamen and Zhongshan will be connected by a direct high-speed rail line.

From January 26, the G1022/1 high-speed train will run between Zhongshan and Xiamen North stations (terminating at Fuzhou South). This route will boost connectivity between Greater Bay Area cities and coastal cities in southeastern China.

The G1022/1 service stops at 12 stations, including Zhuhai, Zhongshan, Guangzhou South, Humen, Shenzhen North, Chaoyang, Chaoshan, Yunxiao, Zhangzhou, Xiamen North, Putian, and Fuzhou South.
